Fun posts today on XingColumbus and Walker Evans’s personal blog as well discussion on Columbusunderground.com, if you’ve never been to walkscore.com it’s well worth a look for some amusement. Besides the amusement and bragging rights aspect to finding out your score, it can also serve as a mini local directory for local shops and attractions around your home.
I’m happy to report the RBD scored an impressive 89, which by my reckoning would make our area in the very top walkable neighborhoods for all of Columbus. What’s even more impressive is that walkscore.com doesn’t include several of our neighborhood shops, namely CJ Daniels, Flowers on Orchard Lane, Hawk Galleries, Graham’s Office Supply and Y Sadiq, which if included should make us only more walkable.
Thinking of living downtown, that’s walkable and more affordable? Well then you might want to give or neighborhood condo (the Hartman Phase 2 and Ohio Loft) projects a look.
Nice! 89 is a great score, and I can see it bumping above 90 with those other places included. The RBD is a great central location for being within a short walk of lots of spots downtown.
